my prayer
Align my heart with Yours God. For Your ways are Higher than my ways, and Your thoughts are Higher than my thoughts… As high as the heavens are from the earth, they are that much higher.
Draw me into You Jesus. Be near Lord… nearer than my own skin. May I have such great intimacy with You that I can feel Your breath upon my face, and I can hear the beating of my Lover’s heart. Let me love that quiet place, from which all else in my life is set in its place. Let me never forsake it. And may surrender be my natural response to a love so great, so encompassing, so consuming, that there can be no other response. Let all power and all calling come from a place of utter surrender. May my faith be one that is so tender, so humble and malleable by my God.
One thing I ask of You, and this I shall seek: to dwell in Your house all the days of my life, to behold Your beauty, and to meditate in Your temple.
